Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Veylan. The shortest version: use the product in good faith, don't break the law with it, pay for what you use, and we'll do our best to keep it running.

Who you're contracting with

Account responsibilities

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password safe, enable MFA when we offer it, and don't share credentials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Veylan to facilitate illegal activity.
  • Reverse-engineer the platform to build a competing product.
  • Upload personal data of EU residents without a lawful basis.
  • Probe, scan, or otherwise test the platform's vulnerabilities without prior written agreement (we have a responsible disclosure programme — email security@veylanai.com).

Subscription and billing

  • Plans are described on the Pricing page. Prices are in euros, exclusive of VAT.
  • Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel at any time from your billing page; you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: pro-rated for annual plans if you cancel within the first 30 days, otherwise as required by EU consumer law.

What Veylan is and isn't

Veylan is software. We help you become audit-ready. We do not sign your SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report — that is your auditor's job. We do not provide legal advice. We do not act as your Data Protection Officer.

Service levels

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the dashboard. Scheduled maintenance is excluded. Real numbers live on the Security page.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (gross negligence, wilful misconduct, etc.).

Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. Disputes go to the courts of Berlin, Germany. Consumers retain any mandatory rights in their country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be emailed to active customers at least 30 days before they take effect.
